We have had a couple flooding in the basement here coming from the shower drain. A plumber who looked at it suggested that there may be a buildup - or at least a tendency to build up - in the pipes at or around the transfer to the city pipes. Is there any way for this to determine whether or not the root cause of the flooding is a problem with the city pipes, or the home plumbing? Thank you for your time
We have been experiencing sewer gas smell primarily in our master bathroom shower for the last 2-3 weeks, especially in the morning. We have only lived at this location for a year and 4 months. We experienced it around the same time last year. A neighbor suggested we reach out to let the City know since she believes the City needs to do something with the sewer system which is out front of our home on S. Springhouse Drive to "clean it out"?? We have also noticed this past week while walking in the Renwick neighborhood that you can smell sewer gas in various parts of the neighborhood as well. I've noticed a bad smell near the storm drain in front of my house (and in back on the alley). It smells somewhat like the odor added to natural gas, similar enough that my neighbor next door on the south asked me if that's what it is. I think not but it does smell like some sewer contents, although sanitary sewer contents shouldn't be mingling with storm sewer contents should they? Thanks!
Ongoing issue over past several months with strong sewage smell and overflow from what looks like a cistern. Does not appear to be related to rainfall. Problem happened approx 2 years ago & has returned. Neighbors have asked me to file uReport.
The sewer cover in this area was covered with soil over the winter when snowplows came through to clear the snow from the grassy area to locate water/sewer lines. You can no longer see it. It is possible that it needs to be cleaned out based on issues I'm experiencing in my home nearby.
Our toilet has been gargling and draining. Doesn't appear it be a blockage that we can plunge away, so just alerting in case it is a problem with the mainline.
There is a manhole cover located in my driveway that has a failing pit. The manhole has shifted and has caused a significant crack that is now sinking in my driveway that needs repaired. There is a gap that is increasing on the right side indicating movement. Please advise as to how this can be repaired.
Roto Rooter explained there is a collapsed line near the street. It is causing plumbing issues and water back up from the toilet at 5100 s rogers st.
We live at 1717 E Hunter Ave and have had water coming in our basement now twice (once last and once this) and both times the water is overflowing out this mainhole down on the corner of E. Hunter Ave and Eastside Drive. The manhole is actually spinning around it's so much water. The address where that is at is 420 S Eastside Drive I think. Not sure if its' related or just a coincidence with all the rain. The bsement floor drains have not backed up in our house, just water coming up through cracks and around edge of foundation.
