HAND has evaluated the property and will be sending notice to repair the structure
Other: I took this iPhone photo Friday night, as discreetly as I could, before it got completely dark. I count six vehicles on the grass in the backyard. If you zoom in, you can see the bent metal (above the burgundy car) where the back roof has partially collapsed. There is also a large tree growing through the left side of the collapsed roof (not pictured). This house is uninhabitable. Several neighbors, myself included, believe there is no running water since one of the tenants urinates on the lawn. I’m shocked that the roof hasn’t completely caved in. Someone is going to get hurt if this isn’t addressed and fixed.
Most tickets of this type should be closed within 9 days, although some cases may be longer. 8 days have already passed.
HAND has evaluated the property and will be sending notice to repair the structure
Planning staff have already investigated the property and observed and documented inoperable vehicles parked on unimproved surface. We will be issuing a Notice of Violation warning letter for the violations and proceed with our typical enforcement process until the violations are resolved. I'm not sure why this report was reassigned to Planning staff as there was no explanation provided. Have HAND staff inspected the complaint of unsafe structure? If so, please report the results of HAND staff's inspection and close out the case accordingly.
Based on Planning staff investigation, the wrong address is listed. The property is actually 703 W 7th St.
Planning staff will add this to our investigations regarding parking of vehicles on the unimproved surface (grass). The remainder of the complaint is in regard to a potentially unsafe structure - forwarding to HAND.
