Calm. That is the best word to describe Thurgood. When you take Thurgood for a walk, which he loves, he is calm. He doesn't pull and he doesn't bark at other dogs. When you are in the house with Thurgood, he greets you without jumping on you. He loves to be petted and be around you, but he is happy to lay at your feet. He doesn't jump on the couch. Thurgood patiently waits for you to let him outside to do his business, he is completely housebroken. If Thurgood sees a cat walk by he may notice, but he is not interested in chasing or barking at the kitty. Now don't let this description give you the impression that Thurgood is boring. He is not. When he is playing with other dogs he runs like a deer and has a very unique bark. He also prances with his front feet when he is excited or waiting for you to greet him. He is a little smaller than his pictures make him look (he's only 37lbs in reality). So basically, Thurgood is the perfect dog!
