the overgrowth from B-Line has made Morton Street from Howe to Smith a one lane road, which causes issues on an already overly tight turn at Smith & Morton. can this be cut back/down? thanks for your time and consideration. kind regards, NE

This car has not moved for a week... someone appears to be living in it. Is this really acceptable?
One week ago I was sent this email.
David,
Hello. I received the uReport you filed with the City regarding the van on W Howe Street. A Downtown Resource Officer spoke with the owner today and is in the process of attempting to help them with repairs so the van can be moved in the near future.
Thanks,

Used care repair business still going on. Cars being delivered and picked up on a regular basis, several mechanics working on cars until late at night, continues. Apparently this has been an issue that the city keeps “resolving” but nothing is changing. What is going on? why is this being allowed to continue for years. From the records, this house has had several complaints that the city resolves but remains unchanged.
This individual used the street and parking spaces for his own private used care business.
Property Taxes are way too high for this to be happening.
The person in charge of these complaints is not doing his/her job at all.

Went for a walk with my partner and pup, ended up using my shirt as a compress for a dying man.
Sorry for the smart comment, but maybe it’s time to figure out how to tackle the balance of compassionate treatment of the transient population with public safety. My girlfriend will be processing the trauma for days and Howe St has become a thoroughfare.

There seems to be some kind of leak or broken pipe coming from the address I have listed. It’s been leaking like this since the beginning of the year. It runs off into the drainage, but once it freezes outside this could be a hazard for drivers and people walking in this area. I would know, I nearly slipped and fell several times on it in February.
We would appreciate it if someone could come out and look at it.
Blocked Street
1316 S Palmer AVE
- Case Date:
- 8/16/2025
I have reported this problem to the City several times, but nothing has ever been done about it. There is a used car business being operated out of a house at 1316 S. Palmer Ave. Deliveries of used cars and trucks arrive every week, and more often than that. The owner of the business has workers working who are always in the street. The vehicles and the workers block traffic, and it is unsafe for the workers refurbishing the used cars and trucks. In fact, that block of Palmer has become a one-lane street. The cars and trucks are parked up and down the street at all times. The place itself is trash heap. I own a house in the 1400 block, only two doors south of this used car lot, and my property value is diminished because of it. This would NEVER be allowed in any other residential neighborhood in the city. There are constantly many used cars and trucks coming and going as they get refurbished and sold. I've had enough. Please do your work.

Street Trees
707 S Washington ST

Hi, We have a dangerous situation with the two city trees in front of my rental property at 707 S. Washington St. These tress continuously drop very large limbs on cars (damaging them) and on people walking along the sidewalk. Someone is going to get injured! These trees are constantly losing limbs. Can we please get you guys to trim them way back somehow? This particular tree was a bad choice to plant on a heavily traveled street/sidewalk along Washington St. Thank you in advance for your speedy response to this situation.
