Huge homeless encampment growing by the week they’ve already burnt these woods down once are we waiting for round two
homeless encampments are spreading throughout this area on 501 N Walnut St around peoples houses. Had filed a uReport with the number 192180 and nothing got resolved.
homeless men constantly urinating and pooping in alley next to my building
We were charged over $300 under sanitation for "Large Item Pick up", however, were not responsible for any items that were allegedly picked up. I have tried to get in contact with the sanitation department for the past month with no avail. I would like to get this issue resolved so I am not responsible for the charges or the late fees that could potentially accrue. Please contact me via email as that is my preferred method of communication.
Call received to HAND from adjacent property owner. There is also a uReport under address 812 W 3rd that is duplicative. People are living year-round in an RV parked on an unimproved surface at 220 S. Maple Street. They have been there for about 18 months. I previously reported them to H.AN.D. and the city's legal department. There are also 3-5 other cars parked in the small property lot at all times. The man is apparently fixing cars for others. Various articles and garbage bags are often strewn about. Their has been many domestic violence and nuisance reports to the police and fire department during this time.
There is a syringe along the road about half way between 6th and 7th on Oak street. It is right across the street from the very large sycamore tree on the west side.
The street debris and dirt needs to be swept up. The new drainage built helps with houses not experience flooding, but sends a lot of debris down the street too. With the recent storms it is building up making it hard to park there. I am a resident that needs to park there due to lack of off street parking. The black walnut tree in the yard of my house, the green house at 835 W. KIRKWOOD, drops a lot of debris, too.
Could not get information online on the trash pickup schedule fir my address. 2428 W Marlene Dr. Bloomington, IN 47404
There is something wrong with the map on the uReport website. When someone clicks on a portion of some addresses, a different address is displayed. Attached screenshot illustrates the miscall. Several recent complaints have been made about "505 E. 11th", but this location is an unbuilt and uninhabited field. It is assumed that the complaints were meant for "305 E. 11th" (marked as "Hoosier Rentals", but the HCI fills in "505" rather than "305" depending on where exactly the cursor is. Cases #198983, #198974, #199101, and #199103 all fall under this category.
Sunday afternoons, even in the downtown area, should be a chance the peaceful enjoyment the premises of one's own abode. Today, however, the noise from the sidewalk musicians who are somehow sponsored by the record store on the east side of Walnut just south of Sixth Street, makes any peaceful enjoyment impossible. I have my windows shut, even though I should be able to have them open on a day as warm as this, and even though the windows are shut, the noise is quite intrusive. Does Bloomington not have a prohibition against this kind of use of the public right of way? Don't you need a permit, or can any business just say: Hey come play the drums and electric guitar out in front of my shop? More maybe they do have a permit. If they do, they should post it so everyone can see that it is allowed. I understand a certain amount of weird noises are part and parcel of downtown living. But this seems like an abuse of the downtown public sphere. Thanks for whatever you are able to do to help make downtown Bloomington actually livable.
