Priceless.
Priceless.
Although I placed my recycling out last night (9/2/26), the bin was not emptied when I returned home from work today (9/3). Can this be scheduled in advance of next week due to volume that remains?
My family and I were at Olcott Park at 11 am today (9/6/26). While there, 3 young boys on electric bikes rode down the trails quickly, "gunning" their motors loudly (too fast for such a public place). I was concerned about the children playing in the playground and walking through the park. Also, these individuals rode their electric bikes on the soccer fields. Due to the amount of dirt that was disturbed and blowing into the environment, I believe they might have damaged the field with their electric bikes. There was no parental supervision as far as I could tell. I'm wondering if there is a contact number one could call while things like this are happening? Submitting this report seems to be too late as I don't know their identities for follow-up. Thank you.
The Parking Kiosk that is behind the Uptown Cafe, across from the church, is completely unreadable in bright sunlight. I parked and attempted to use the kiosk Friday September 3rd 2026. One could not read the screen on the kiosk unit at all. It rendered it unusable. Sunglasses or no sunglasses the screen seemed was total obscured and completely useless. I had to move my car. Please investigate. I wish the regular meters would be reinstalled. Easier for elderly residents to use, but I feel more and more our electronic navigation issues are of little concern by the city. Thank you Kim
Olcott Park. One of the toilets in the women's restroom at Olcott Park keeps running. I looked to see if there was a place to turn off the water supply to the toilet, but I didn't find one. I tried moving the toilet handle and that didn't work either. It's really noisy, too. It looks (and sounds) like a plumber is needed to fix the problem. Thank you very much for your consideration.
Trees and overgrowth. For years, trees and bushes on city R/W have impeded Prospect Street adjoining the property (west of S. Madison St). Beacon GIS will confirm that the overgrowth is in the R/W. The street department at times has cut back the overgrowth. The planning department has indicated that there are invasive plants at this location. Trees hang down and touch vehicles when not trimmed. The problem has continued to get worse over the past several years. Not only is the overgrowth unmanageable, it is unsightly, detracting from neighborhood property values. Please rectify this problem so that it is not an on-going issue. Feel free to contact me if needed. Thank you.
Tap water has yellow discoloration and foul odor.
Our water is brown and has an odor. Neighbors are reporting the same issue. The utility needs to report out to the customer base as to why this is occurring and when it should be resolved.
