You of course have parking problems galore near campus and older part of town. Why not institute policy of granting residential-area by-the-day parking permits for persons with valid handicapped designation? Say, for 8 am-4 in residential areas zoned restrictively? I was not legally able to park in and stroll my old neighborhood--tho' fortunately found the garage on Atwater. Had never expected to have pulmonary problems. Even area residents complain about campus parking. Can't you remove evening quotas for special events?
I'm not exactly sure who to get in contact with, but I am the Director of Public Relations for Garden Villa here in Bloomington and in Bedford. I was wanting to speak with someone regarding the senior programs that you offer in the community and be able to offer those to our residents and possibly help grow your services. If someone could please let me know who I can talk to I would appreciate it. My contact information is below. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from someone! Good afternoon, My name is Mike Krashen. I am marketing intern for Bloomington Brands LLC. We are currently searching for an experienced gardener who can contribute to our PlantersPlace.com video gallery. Bloomington Brands operates the PlantersPlace.com website where visitors can access gardening tips, photos, videos, and much more. In our video section, we have a library of "how-to" gardening tips videos hosted by gardening experts. We are currently looking for local video hosts in Bloomington who are knowledgeable about a variety of gardening topics. We came across the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department and wanted to reach out to see if you might be able to recommend anyone who is qualified for this position. We pay $100 per video posted on our website. Here is the link to our current video page: http://www.plantersplace.com/resources/video_gallery If you know of anybody at the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department that would be qualified and interested, please let us know. Bloomington Brands greatly appreciates your help. Thank you once again. Sincerely, Mike Krashen Bloomington Brands LLC (812) 336-7572
The streets in Highland Village are so rough they are tearing up my car. As taxpayers, we would like to have them repaved. The patch jobs are the worse part.
Large poison ivy is growing at the entrance to the rails to trails path. Specifically, it is on the fence on the East side/corner of the parking lot, along the sidewalk - growing out, towards the sidewalk. I know what it is (and to avoid it), but not everyone would. Could it be sprayed to kill it? (One time when I think the weed is worse than the poison needed to remove it!) Thank you.
There are several severe pot holes that need repair on S. Welmir Dr. off of W 3rd Street. I have contacted the owners of both strip malls and they have repaired their parking lots and said that that is a street and not their property. I own the beauty college our students are tearing their cars up and I feel sorry for them because they can barely afford gas to get to school much less repairs. We sent them to Hoosier Hills to fix. Can you please help fix these asap. My fingers are crossed. Thank you for your time. Dennis Robbins Director of Education

At the bottom of the hill down to lake griffy theres an area of compacted mud and stones, very dangerous for bike riders. Also, up the hill there are still areas of gravel narrowing the road ... Thanks
