The "Stone Mansion" on Washington has damage to the stone wall. It's a historic structure, so I hope it is fixed with regards to that and not a cheap fix.

Rogers Remodeling has been playing music loud enough for me to hear in my house with the windows shut since May 2025 when they began construction on my neighbor, Alex Cartwright's house. I have asked the workers and Mr. Cartwright to respect the Bloomington Noise Ordinance. I have read the ordinance and would like further information about what else can be done. For example, could they be asked to wear headphones? Could the music be played inside instead of outside? Could they turn off the music when they go to lunch? Could they move the boom box away from my window? Often the music starts as early as 6:45 am when the worker arrive in their trucks in the morning.
my recycle bin left half full. reported same problem last week
Came home after new stairs were unexpectedly put in. The bottom step is way too tall (about a foot off the ground), none of the “support posts” line up, screws either not all the way in or broken, main posts at base are not very secure, wood is untreated and splintering. Top stair has an unsecured middle piece, and it wobbles when you walk down it.
The entrance from W Gordon Pike on to S. Wicken was recently replaced, S Wickens Rd. and curb outlining the newly paved portion connecting the two roads was left at higher elevation. Cars are having to slow down once they turn as this is wearing on tires and vehicles it is a concern. The entry seems worse than before it was dug up and repaved. It is much like the "bump" that was repaired recently on Rockport due to the transition not being leveled over making the roadway smooth.

There is a soft spot that has been expanding across our floor for a little over a year now. It was there when we moved in and we have reported it to maintenance, but we were told us that they would have to rip up the flooring, and we were only told that 2 days ago. We have contacted our front office and they have informed us that they would have to rip up all the flooring to find out what is wrong and we were told 2 days ago that they cannot rip up our flooring unless we move out. My roommate and I have both offered to move to a different apartment in the complex because we want this to be fixed. And they are not answering out emails. I have tried to go in to talk with them, and the person who I have to talk with about moving apartments is never in, and the other people in the office wont help. The soft spot in the floor has been getting bigger over the past year, and we now have mold concerns as well. Over the summer our HVAC system went out and we did not receive any window units for 1 month, and the only reason we did receive a window unit was because my roommate passed out in our apartment due to overheating. The soft spot is in a narrow hallway inbetween our HVAC system and our Water Heater and the laundry closet is next to the water heater.
I’m very grateful for the new paving of 11th St. They’ve placed what I think are temporary yellow lines to mark the center of the street. Unfortunately, they’re marked them too far to one side so it doesn’t allow for people to stay in their lane and avoid the cars parked on the side of the road. I’m hoping the final lane lines will be moved over to give enough room for cars to park and for traffic to pass those cars without having to cross the yellow line. There appears to be plenty of room on the other side of the road if the lines are moved over. Thanks!
