I just moved into my home in April 2026, and I thought that Sherwood Oaks was a safe neighborhood. However, in the past few months I have lived here, I have witnessed several close calls with cars excessively speeding down Allendale, most notably in front of my house, almost hitting pedestrians and bicyclists, including children. I know the neighborhood has rallied together to try to get traffic calming devices installed, such as speed humps, and I understand why that is not favorable. But could the City at least put up speed limit signs along Allendale to remind drivers to slow down? A fawn was recently hit in front of my house due to a car speeding down the road. I would really hate for it to be someone's child. Thanks for your consideration, Rebecca

I would like to report an ongoing noise disturbance involving a neighbor's dog. The dog is repeatedly left outside, where it barks loudly and incessantly for extended periods. This has been a recurring issue, and the barking has continued for several minutes today without interruption. The excessive, frantic barking is extremely disruptive and causes considerable distress and irritation to nearby residents. I would appreciate it if this matter could be investigated and addressed. Despite attempts to discuss this with the neighbor, the issue has continued.

Cars continually park partially or fully blocking the alleyway, especially on weekends. Yellow curb is faded and partially obscured by gravel.

Between Dunn and Henderson on Davis: cars, truck parked wrong direction on both sides of Davis. Car parked in front of fire hydrant on Dunn around corner from Davis intersection. No sidewalks so very dangerous if walking.

Raccoons in attic. Management called local firm to trap one, but no one has attended to the opening that allowed the raccoon in the building, so now there is another. Please force the management to repair the building. We do not want any more raccoons up there and we do not want any more trapped.
