There is a growing pile of garbage behind and alongside the house of 501 S. Mitchell. This adjoins a walkway that links two parts of Hunter Ave and it's just above a waterway that feeds into Jordan River. Reporter is concerned about rats and other sanitation issues that could occur if left untreated.

Frustrated that her recycling wasn't picked up again today -- said her service has been spotty, repeatedly -- and she's called twice today requesting that it be picked up and has had no response.
Jennifer works at Wonderlab and said she's tried to report several times this week that the parking meters in front of Wonderlab (on 4th St. between Madison and College, minimally) have been blacked out. It looks to her like someone has taken a Sharpie and completely drawn over the meters' LED panels. She's received many questions from Wonderlab patrons about the meters and whether they're functioning.
Mr. Raff spoke with the Mayor at the Farmers Market on Saturday, 10/1. He described ongoing drainage issues on both Rose Ave and his property (704) and that of the adjacent landowner. He stated that the City has been working on the issue for a number of years, but storm water still gets backed up on the property and has lead to a mosquito problem.
