Mike Frey - 317-727-3371 Mike is the owner of Bub's on the corner of 9th Street and N. Morton. The last parking spot on 9th street before you hit Morton has been turned in to a handicap space. According to Mike this space is on a hefty incline that was once riddles with pot holes. He stated that it is smooth, but that it is not an accessible space by any means being on a hill. Every time it rains our street floods severely and then backs up onto the sidewalks and coats them in a thick layer of mud. It’s a combination of heavy storms that the storm drain on the corner of 12th and Walnut cannot keep up with and a residual problem caused by the fiberware that was installed last year. Ever since they dug up the corner of 12th and Walnut the ground is nothing but mud and has been slowly taking over the sidewalk. It is unsafe to walk on as it is incredibly slippery and is at least an inch thick.
These hand rails stick into the public sidewalk - a pedestrian not paying attention could run into these or a bicyclist could really have a collision with these. In at least two places. And they have put reflective tape on them which seems to indicate past problems.
There is a construction cut in the road on 17th that is really deep to go over. There weren’t any signs warning of a big bump. The car behind me severely swerved out of the way to miss it. This is move in week, this is a dangerous situation!
When underground utility work was being performed, there was some exposed wire left behind in the yard. Requesting that the remaining exposed wire be buried or removed.
Acuff is closed but there are not any signage on prow rd to inform the public that is is closed until you get to it.
I work in Luddy Hall on the IU Campus. I have an ADA sticker for my car. The only ADA parking close to the southside of the building in on the west side of Myles Brank Hall behind Luddy. The City of Bloomington has timed parking along the south side of Luddy on Cottage Grove. It would benefit me to have at least one or preferably two of those parking spaces issued for drivers with a disabled license. This building has no parking on the other three sides. I'm 71 years old with major health issues and we have elderly and/or disabled family members come to Luddy also, especially in inclement weather when there is more possibility of falls. Vegetation obstructing sidewalk in front of 919-921 E. Hunter (esp. the part between the houses, which no owner seems to take responsibility for) remains a problem.
Blocking traffic with nobody directing traffic
The alley to access this property is overgrown and causing damage to cars trying to access this property.
