Subject: Street Light Request: W. 11th St. (Between Marathon Gas Station & N. Adams St.)
Location Details:
* Street: W. 11th St.
* Specific Segment: Between the gas station and the N. Adams Street intersection.
* Preferred Placement: The north side of W. 11th St., adjacent to the apartment complex buildings.
Request Details:
I am writing to formally request the installation of a new street light along this specific stretch of W. 11th Street.
Currently, this section of the road and sidewalk is pitch black during non-daylight hours. There is extremely poor visibility, making it highly unsafe for pedestrians. I walk this route early in the morning and am unable to see the sidewalk ahead of me or perceive if anyone is nearby, which creates a significant safety risk.
Furthermore, the lack of lighting will pose an extra hazard during the winter months, as it will be impossible to spot black ice or snow accumulation on the walkway. Improved lighting here is urgently needed to ensure basic pedestrian safety and visibility.
Thank you for your time and for reviewing this request to keep our neighborhood walkways safe.
Warmly,
Carla
