On 1/24/2025 and 9:15 AM on bus #0348, I observed the strong odor of and could see smoke-haze from deisel exhaust backing up into the public bus. I have spoken to Bloomington Transportation dispatch and customer service and was told that, "That is just part of the bus's regenerative re-uptake process." When they refused to take this matter seriously in the past, I contacted the EPA. The EPA shall be contacted again on this issue since neither the city nor bus company will take this matter seriously, which inevitably affects the city's rating with the EPA as a green-friendly city. Hello! I would like to request a street light on S. Hickory Grove Lane. It is very dark on our road and we have TONS of kids who actually play outside!! People drive down the road very fast (most of them are delivery people). It would help them see the kids. Most of the houses have their porch lights on, but the light from the porches doesn’t extend to the road. It would be much safer for all the kids. Thank you! -Kirsten Elliott

No snow has been removed from sidewalk on southwest side of Patterson Drive between W. 2nd St. and W. Allen St. since the big snow storm 2 weeks ago.

Don't wait 7 days to respond to sidewalk snow removal complaints and then mark them "closed" when it's 54 degrees out and all the snow is melted. Cool how you can just not do your job if you wait until the snow is melted. Maybe we should stop plowing the streets too?

I live in the North Dunn Street area of Bloomington. From the 45/46 Bypass on North Dunn going towards Griffy Lake there is a lot of trash on the sides of the street. Both sides of the street are full of bottles, paper and just general trash. It is especially bad around the stop sign area at Tammarck and the trash continues all the way to Griffy Lake and down to Old 37. Can the city please pick up this unsightly trash? Thank you

When the city street department was doing some type of digging throughout the Bloomington streets in October , the streetlight in front of the house was disconnected and never hooked back up. The address is 411 North Lincoln street. I called and reported this but nothing has changed - the light is still not connected.

There are no lights on this street, at all. The lack of light makes it feel even more unsafe and allows the transients in the area to break into cars and houses.

Exterior lights on this house are so bright it is hard to sleep, even with curtains to try to block out the light. It’s ridiculous, and it’s illegal light pollution. Please make them stop doing this. They are on all night.

Additional request for street light. There have been multiple times where BPD has responded to fights and medical related issues at neighboring properties. At least 2x/month I am woken up late in the night by someone trying to open doors or windows. Last night someone slept on my closed-in front porch. Neighbors are also in support of a street light and have asked me to file this on their behalf as well. uR#199547 was most recent filed that I am aware of.
