Request a new Street Light

S. Euclid and W. Smith

Case Date:
11/1/2024

This is one of the few street intersections that I have encountered, particularly while walking at night, that has NO street light to illuminate the intersection of the two streets.

Request a new Street Light

344 S Euclid AVE

Case Date:
11/1/2024

Saw ticket #199149 suggesting a new street light at the intersection of S. Euclid and W. Howe. My partner and I live at this intersection, and we agree that it's dark. We would be willing to add lights to our property which would illuminate the intersection. If the city wants to go this route, let us know and we can get it started.

Line of Sight

342 S Washington ST

Case Date:
11/2/2024

The street lamps that are posted coming out of the sidewalks have been knocked out and not working for some time, but the building blocks any kind of light coming from busier streets and the light coming from 3rd Street and Allison jukebox is not enough that you can see walking down the sidewalk. As an employee of middleway house, my supervisor has given me permission to report to you that clients have experience not feeling safe and needing flashlights to navigate the sidewalk at night. The worst area is on the southwest side of the sidewalk between the gates of the new wings building down to Smith Avenue. It is also dark across the street from another building owned by middleway house, the rise at 401 South Washington. It is very dark on the west side of the street and our clients and are coming home with their children taking the bus when the bus station often is closed. Please work with whoever the property management is of that apartment building because I'm sure they need to install proper lighting for their own tenant's safety, especially on the doorways and entry points that make people feel unsafe walking by. I believe the city needs to install more lighting as well. This area has been begging increasingly unsafe, although close to 3rd St Police. Thank you for giving this the attention it deserves.

Request a new Street Light

46 and 446

Case Date:
11/4/2024

This intersection is dark and experiences a high volume of traffic with large vehicles. Please consider placing a street light at this intersection to improve visibility from all directions.

Request a new Street Light

3940 E 10th ST

Case Date:
11/4/2024

Because this area is so dark, when a car crests the hill, the lights are blinding. A light at this location would improve visibility for drivers going both directions.

Request a new Street Light

3846 E Moores PIKE

Case Date:
11/4/2024

Given that this intersection is controlled by a 4-way stop, a street light would improve visibility and safety for drivers and pedestrians.

Request a new Street Light

1500 State Hwy 446

Case Date:
11/4/2024

Because a flashing light no longer controls this intersection, and because this intersection is dark, the addition of a street light would improve safety for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Debris Removal (Sand, General Street Debris)

729 S Walnut ST

Case Date:
8/4/2022

The tree-lined edge of this property's parking lot is a well-known syringe drop/pickup spot. We have witnessed several syringes appear in a pile, then mysteriously disappear within hours. Most recently a bicycle was dropped in the weeds, then removed the next day. Transients sometimes use it as a public restroom. Trash has been accruing in this strip of overgrowth and blows out into the alley. As well, the overgrowth of weeds, vines and saplings encroach upon the alley, making it difficult to traverse by vehicle. Finally, vines are choking out the line of trees that occupy this strip. This is the least frustrating issue, but an issue nonetheless. All of the overgrowth and vines should be cleaned up so it cannot be used as a hiding spot, dumping ground, public restroom.
