ihitPolly Grimshaw Trail (east portion near tennis court) has numerous bumps that are hazards to bikes at speed (coming down the hill at night. This summer the city installed speed cushions and bump-outs in Park Ridge East along Morningside Drive. Native trees and shrubs were planted as part of this greenway improvement project. We experienced what seems to have been vandalism last night—the dogwood tree that the city installed in the traffic bump-out in front of our house was snapped off. It doesn’t appear to be the type of damage a deer would have caused (photo attached) which would be the only other explanation. Will the city be replacing this tree?
The city website page on Jackson Creek is out of date and does not reflect the completed extension to Rhorer Rd. I could not find updated maps, and Google Maps also does not reflect the change despite the new trail being visible on aerials.
The tennis courts have cracks running through them and there are large weeds growing inside the tennis court fences.
Just a Thank You to Tim Street for addressing an issue. I wrote that I thought the folks landscaping the median on Sayre Rd should be afforded some "safety cones" or lane closings to prevent injuries. I noticed last week that cones have been added to protect workers. I really appreciate you reacting to my concern. Thanks so much.
There is a small pot hole developing on the BLine trail heading West on the right side moving West. It's just about half way between Fairview St. and Moravec Way. Dangerous for all community members! Small now, but soon to be larger as pot holes go!
Please replace the upper tennis court lights at the Winslow Park. More than half of the lights are burned out. Also, please tuen on the lights about 45 minutes earlier. It’s too dark for playing match around 8:00 pm.
Both playgrounds at Building and Trades park are very overgrown with weeds, also cobwebs.
Is there a way to protect pedestrians/bikers on the B-Line Trail by adding retractable bollards or something on the yellow painted line by intersections so that cars don't mistake the trail for a road? Thank you in advance for working towards a solution that will help improve the safety of all.
There is an abandoned non-electric bicycle along the south edge (downhill side) of the paved path between Sherwood Oaks Park and the Olcott Park parking lot. Another walker told me that it had been there several days.
