Potholes, Other Street Repair

5520 E Earl Young RD

Case Date:
4/5/2025

Earl Young Road, off of SR 45, is in dire need of being repaved. Our street was originally paved in 1994 and after 25+ years of filling and patching, it's finally come to the need of being repaved. While we appreciate the holes being repaired on 4/2-4/3, however, it is only a short-term solution to when those are broken down and back to big ruts we're swerving around to avoid car damage. Our road is very busy and well-traveled. It's hilly, with blind spots so when swerving to miss potholes of the road, it can be dangerous for those coming up on the other side of the blind spot. Our railroad crossings are no longer visible or legally marked. Complaints from residents have been made for years, with no answer for resolution. I hope you take this concern seriously. From repaving and the railroad markings. If you have any questions, I am happy to discuss them in more detail. Thank you.

Traffic Signals

1620 W 3rd ST

Case Date:
4/3/2025

Light for Cory lane traffic to turn east or west last 30 seconds! Why do two cars need 30 seconds while the 30 cars trying to go east and west get stopped so frequently? This is a nightmare in the morning. No cars even on Cory Lane and I'm stopping at a red light for no cars! It's been like this since W 3rd was paved. How long will it take to fix this one?

Traffic Signals

2801 S Rogers ST

Case Date:
4/6/2025

Can you please fix the traffic signals at Rogers and Country club so drivers don't get frustrated and do stupid stuff like this anymore: https://www.reddit.com/r/bloomington/comments/1jqvcyk/comment/mlrclbj/ The problem is the light cycles are too short for all the East-West traffic. There will be dozens of cars backed up on Country Club and the light will turn red to let like 3 cars stopped at Rogers go.

Inaccessible Parking

1400 E 3rd ST

Case Date:
4/6/2025

The only accessible parking spot is diagonal and tucked into a corner, leaving the blue lined area for wheelchair ramp deployment much smaller and awkwardly shaped than usual. Also, there's a 15 minute time limit on the spot, despite it being the only accessible spot in the lot. I'm not sure how someone could deploy a wheelchair ramp, exit their vehicle, and turn their wheelchair while parked in this spot if the adjacent parking spots are occupied. I could be completely wrong about this, but I thought that accessible spots were supposed to have an extra 2 hours on top of any time constraints on the non-accessible spots in the same lot. The other spots in this same lot all have a 15 minute limit, so shouldn't this spot have a 2 hour and 15 minute limit? It seems really limiting to only have one accessible parking spot in the lot and have it be an extremely tight fit and restrict it to only 15 minutes. This parking spot is for a coffeeshop where college students regularly work on their laptops - if someone needs to use the accessible parking spot, doesn't the 15 minute limit prevent them from being able to work or study in this coffeeshop like others get to do?
