More overgrown yard Looks like the house has been abandoned and probably has squatters in it. Again this has been going on for years. Nice how the city enforce the code so unequally. I understand the does have some leeway to interpret the code but this seems to fall outside of that. Drives Down the neighbors home values and or rental income.

Came home after new stairs were unexpectedly put in. The bottom step is way too tall (about a foot off the ground), none of the “support posts” line up, screws either not all the way in or broken, main posts at base are not very secure, wood is untreated and splintering. Top stair has an unsecured middle piece, and it wobbles when you walk down it.
Illegal dumpers dumped this twin mattress set in the alley adjacent to 1127 W. 6th Street. The dumping appeared during the late morning of Saturday 22nd, May. My neighbor and I both just missed seeing who did it within a 15 minute window. One city truck has passed it without picking it up so far. Please have them return and take care of this. I would have driven it to the city dump if I knew where to take it; and now my car is in shop again so I cannot.

For motorists traveling south on Hawthorne, a 'long haired' bush on the north side of First St, just east of Hawthorne, obscures view of cars traveling west on First St. I travel this way each day and have had close calls when surprised by a westbound car as I was turning left on First when I thought it was clear to do so.
There are a few unavoidable and deep potholes on E. Rogers street heading east after the roundabout near Childs Elementary. To be more specific, if you are driving east on Winslow, get to the roundabout (near Childs), then continue straight, which is when Winslow turns into E Rogers there are several potholes just as you start on Rogers and start heading up the hill. An Airbnb, located at 723 W Allen St., is claiming city property as private property. The land on the west end of the park located at 1126 S Fairview St., is being rented out as a parking lot and used to store vehicles, dog kennel etc. Altercations have occurred when children and dog walkers attempt to access the area as the adjacent property owner claims that it is theirs because they maintain it (mowed the grass). The neighborhood would like to see this green space no longer rented out and used for personal storage of one individual.
