I work for Mackie Properties, and we manage Ridgefield HOA. The driveway at 3916 N Whitewood Way in Ridgefield, which the City repoured last year after repairing a broken main water line, is deteriorating. We initially reported this issue to the City earlier this year, but the City did not take responsibility for redoing the driveway. Since then, we have had contractors assess the situation, and they have determined that improper installation is causing the deterioration. Today, we sent another contractor to reinspect the driveway and provide a quote for sealing it. However, they confirmed that the deterioration has worsened over the past few months and that sealing is not a viable solution. They noted that the concrete was too wet when installed, leading to its current state. We request that the City tear out the existing driveway and properly pour a new one to prevent further deterioration.

I am the homeowner and have recently built an attached sunroom with sinks at this address. I need to connect the water pipe from those sinks to the city sewer line, and so would like to request a detailed sewer line map of/around my property, if available. Thanks.

I spoke with two Martha Street residents who mentioned that they are seeing many people taking a short cut through the culvert that runs east-west between Matlock Heights and Lower Cascades. They indicated that following some utilities work, they were expecting workers to install a No Trespassing or Private Property sign to deter such foot traffic, but that no such sign has been installed. Could you follow up and see what might be done at this site? Thanks!

My neighbor John East told me that city surveyors were planning a project to renovate this storm drain system that flows from his yard in an open stream - through my yard which was tiled over at some point (I believe the city did this but cannot confirm). This system flows then into Cascades Park. There are a significant number of sunken areas along the path of this conduit in my yard - which has concerned me regarding the integrity of this pathway. I have had MUCH trouble with hydrostatic pressure along my basement foundation, and have not found a cause for this to date. Additionally, when the rain is hard enough, this system will back up into John's yard and the water will breach Skyline Dr. and flood my yard as well. I am looking for information about any plan for a project so that I can respond in time by moving perennials and manage expectations regarding disruption at the house from possible excavation and construction. Across the street from 'Dats' restaurant there is a city street parking sign that is leaning into the road. It is only dangerous to tall vehicles that are attempting to park there. Thank you

Small hole in black top. I saw this similar situation happen to another grate a couple hundred yards up the road from this one about a year prior. I am in the hopes that if reported early enough that it would be more economical to repair now before it erodes into something greater over time. Thank you as always. Randy
