Do you are you hospital being built in Bloomington is putting its workers, their families and your city at risk every single day! They have no program in place to stop the virus from bringing brought on to their campus. They have no social distancing. They can’t keep hand sanitizer in the handwashing stations at the Porta Johns. For a while they had someone who was urinating in the hand sanitizer bottles after emptying them on a daily basis. Now they just steal them. There are 450+ people that come in to that job site on a daily basis from all over Indiana Kentucky Ohio Tennessee and they all are scared and you know that it is just a matter of time until one of them or more brings that virus into the community. Not only is it going to spread like wild fire through the worksite, it will spread through your community because they get gas and groceries and drive through and they interact all throughout your community. Are you health does not care about these workers or their safety. My significant other is a manager out there and does not have the choice to just walk away. The heartbreak that I see on a daily basis because of the worry is cement. Tonight we spent sucking washcloths both the dollar general and bleach and putting them in baggies so that there would be a way for all the workers to wipe down surfaces and have something to wipe their hands with to sanitize them. That’s the little bit that we are doing to try to keep them safe because are you help isn’t. We have been waiting for their plan for over a month on what they are going to do and we are still waiting! Please force them to shut that worksite down for a couple of months until this spike is over! Save our families save your community and save thousands of lives in the process through not having it spread through yours or dozens of other communities that these people go home to. PLEASE I’m begging you for help. This is life and death. I’m not ready to lose my mate yet. It’s not fair to have to make a choice between a lifetime career and the life of your family. I’m terrified that it’s going to come into my life...my home and take everything I love. Or maybe it’ll take me. And for what? A building that isn’t going to be done for 16 months!? Maybe if it was going to be done in a month I could see it. If there was a chance that it could be done and help to save lives but it won’t. There is no way that it can help with this battle so don’t make it make this any worse please! Thank you for your time and consideration. We are having problems with scooters driving on the sidewalk, we would like this parking area removed, it takes valuable space for store sandwich signs (businesses are already struggling) and encourages sidewalk use of scooters. Thank you,

I am currently attending the virtual City of Bloomington Board of Park Commissioners meeting via Zoom. I am disappointed by the city’s negligence to make this meeting more accessible for those with hearing barriers. Why don’t ALL virtual city meetings have closed captions and/or live signing?

2 people in my apartment complex are smoking inside their apartments. It’s coming in through my walls and vents so badly that I’m having asthma attacks. I’ve emailed my property management company who has sent out texts, but the smokers in the building are still smoking indoors.

I've noticed that the uReport system no longer shows the text of the updates made. There are only dates and words like "open" and "assignment" and "closed." Citizens cannot see what the City has said or reported about these uReports. There are no details on who is working on the case, what is being done, etc. Is there a reason why this information has gone away and transparency is now lost?

During the fall of 2020, annual maintenance of the electric wires on the right side of the street (heading south) was done. I don’t know if it’s the city, Duke Energy, or a company who performs this task but today I am writing to complain about the results of the work. It affects the following locations * Beginning at 1816 S High heading south through 2011 S High * And again beginning at 2020 S High heading south through 2021 S High As an avid gardener, it is painful to look at the way the trees are trimmed in the first place. This is the most egregious offense. And just as important, the trees and limbs that were removed are randomly thrown on the ground and it is a visual eyesore. When I look at this I wonder why all the trees aren’t just removed from both stretches on South High? Who is responsible for this mess and what can be done about it? It is shoddy work and our town of Bloomington shouldn’t allow for it.

The stormwater drainage ditch (also known as "Sheridan Creek") near the intersection of Sheridan and Karen continues to erode with chunks of asphalt going into stormwater drains. This was looked at a couple of years ago with a decision of "careful watching." It seems like it is now time to re-pave the culvert or put in a drainage pipe, consistent with what is at both ends of this ditch.

We have had a drainage issue here for 20 years and I have asked for help many times and no one will do anything to help us. Our grate is a poor design and gets clogged by yard debris from areas of the neighborhood and caused our area to flood. Tonight we were home to pull the grate to allow for water to recede and not go further into our garage to our house. Would someone please listen to us. We have reported this several times and also in person. We are afraid to be away from our home if there is a serious storm in the area.
