There has been a "road construction ahead" sign and this yard for probably 6 months or so and this is the yard of an older guy who likes to maintain his lawn and I think it bums him out to have this sing in his yard for so long with no actual road construction taking place. He keeps moving it to mow around it and then dragging it back and I feel bad for him.
Good Morning, There are two Downtown Bloomington signs located on the north and south end of the sidewalk between College Avenue and the Justice Building at 301 North College. Unfortunately, they have lost their luster, the anchoring points are looking suspect and they are impeding the maintenance teams ability to remove snow. I believe these signs are located in the COB right-of-way and assume that there is a formal process to request relocation elsewhere. Preferably down the street in either direction. Please let me know. Thank you, Richard Crider Fleet and Building Manager Monroe County Commissioners 100 W Kirkwood Ave Rm 322 Bloomington, IN 47404 812-803-6331
Turning right from 17th St onto Madison St is a nightmare. You're either going to hit the car that's in the lefthand turn lane on Madison St, or you're running over the decently large curb. The only cars that can safely navigate this are small cars. If you're a truck, SUV, or, God forbid, a city bus, you're in trouble. Cars don't turn at 90 degree angles. The radius of that curb is entirely too small.
These construction people are blocking this entire street causing people to reroute through my driveway
Just east of the intersection cars r blocking thru traffic. The corner and roads have been closed due to building construction but the road looks passable. This intersection has been horrible in general.Because people park on the street, on all sides and it's difficult to move through even before the construction started. No, parking signs need to go up and need to be enforced if this is going to be an open street.
The construction road closure on Rogers from Patterson to Switchyard Park is horrendous. Someone needs to go help the people setting it up. Heading north on Rogers from Rockport, there's no road closure sign, just road construction, one lane road, and flagger signs. Then at 1pm on 10/7/2025 I got to a one lane road with no flagger. Oncoming traffic in my lane. Then at Rogers and Patterson, the entire lane of southbound Rogers is blocked by a road closed sign and people needing local access are driving into northbound lanes of traffic to go south. And North of Patterson on Rogers the south bound lane is 50-75% blocked by a road closed sign before you even get to the fully open interesting so people are forced to cross left of the center double yellow line into oncoming traffic. This is very dangerous in every way. Go check it out. The contractor clearly is not going a good job at all.
On Rogers St South of Patterson, the obstruction was on the north bound lane without warning or chaperone. The flagger was stationed at the first roadside flag, the second was behind him amidst the construction area, there was not a third sign as required by law. This scene is after I parked, I got out to record the issue though there were finally people from the site moving the barricade. I have video that offers more information but this scene was incredibly dangerous.
