Severe erosion issues from tree removal and other excavation work in backyard without proper erosion control measures put in place or inspected. Flood plain below the property is becoming badly silted on city of Bloomington property adjoining Jackson Creek. Site grading in the area appears to be completed, but erosion issues persist.

Location: 1212 S High St (High & Covenanter) Notes: The stormwater conveyance is public, and the wall is in the ROW. Homeowner came to CBU with the following complaint & request: The stone retaining wall next to the ditchline is deteriorating; this is the 2nd failure in the wall due to drainage problems. Homeowner states that the ditch is in poor condition, not flowing properly, and full of "mud piles", etc which is causing erosion below the wall. He is requesting a call to schedule a time to meet onsite to show staff what is happening and determine what can be done about it. If he is not available by phone, he requests that we knock on the door upon arrival so they are aware of our visit and will walk the site with us. Storm drain clogged with debris along the street
There are multiple drainage issues in this area. The 2 outlets from the stormwater drain are partially covered (just west of the storm drain across Monon Dr). I’m not sure if the drain under the road is clear. The area floods readily with any rain. The ditch that runs west is blocked by leaves where it goes under a driveway and by debris closer to clear creek (at the end of hillside). Because this is one of the only drains/outlets/drainage ditches in the area it’s important to get it cleaned out. Can you help?
I am writing to bring attention to an issue I am facing as a new homeowner at 909 W Cardinal Ct, Bloomington, IN. There is a runoff in my backyard that originates from a creek in a nearby park. This runoff significantly affects the usability of my property, as I am unable to extend my backyard or fully maintain the lawn beyond my fenced-in area due to flooding. As the homeowner, I am responsible for cleaning and mowing the area on the other side of the fence, but i cannot access this space due to the water accumulation. I have reviewed the blueprint and property lines (LOT 4), and I do not believe there should be a body of water running through my backyard. I am also aware that my neighbors have previously complained about this issue, and I would like to resolve it so that I can fully enjoy and utilize my entire property. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in addressing this matter, as I am paying a substantial mortgage but am unable to fully access my entire property. Utilities Department sprayed unknown "pre-treat" chemical on storm water rain garden on Allen St. No notice to adjacent property owners was made. No signage. No posting of what was used. When I confronted them they said it was "not bad". Samuel Arthur, Green Infrastructure Crew" was onsite. Please consult other City departments that do NOT treat with chemicals and manage gardens just fine.
Neighbor has blown a huge pile of leaves into the easement, causing water to pile up around utility boxes.
