Truck in the intersection. I know you guys tend to ignore illegally parked vehicles when someone's getting paid to park there, but this one has been there for hours and doesn't appear to be connected to a job being done.

In light of the exchanges on the issue of these cars being parked within 20' of the crosswalk at the intersection of S Henderson and E Wylie, I wanted to post a picture that really emphasized the distance. This is a car parked on the road shoulder (in the right of way) and it is clearly parked within 20' of the crosswalk, which is pictured. I don't know if this car being parked *perpendicular to the right of way* is any kind of additional violation. Since it's also sticking out into the city-improved section of the right of way, whatever regulation applies to cars parked in private drives but sticking substantially out into the city-improved section (the street) seems like it could apply, but I can't really speak to that.

Now they've added a large white SUV DOUBLE PARKED on the West end of this shoulder parking area. Since my compact sedan barely fit through, I'm going to say it's not leaving the 12 ft of Lane we're told is required. I also believe that double parking other cars in the right of way is it violation, but I'm sure that gets tricky since technically those cars aren't supposed to be parked on the self-improved shoulder to begin with (though I appreciate that the city is not enforcing that since it would make vast swaths of Bloomington inaccessible all together).

The Parking Kiosk that is behind the Uptown Cafe, across from the church, is completely unreadable
in bright sunlight. I parked and attempted to use the kiosk Friday September 3rd 2026. One could not
read the screen on the kiosk unit at all. It rendered it unusable. Sunglasses or no sunglasses the screen
seemed was total obscured and completely useless. I had to move my car. Please investigate. I wish the regular meters
would be reinstalled. Easier for elderly residents to use, but I feel more and more our electronic navigation issues
are of little concern by the city. Thank you Kim

What am I misunderstanding here? This is the violation (I believe) that parking enforcement is unable to find repeatedly. Is parking this far out into the street this close to an intersection allowed? If you check, I think you'll find the public right of way cuts basically due West from here landing about mid way along the car. I'm pretty sure this 'space' isn't legal and shouldn't exist; I suspect it's too wide for code and it has to be too close to the intersection.
This car has been parked exactly like this since at least 6am (I assume overnight, maybe yesterday). The three cars at this address take turns parking in this spot like this most days. I'm reminded of this past May when there was a car parked on the front lawn of 506 E Wylie (basically across the street from here) and Parking Enforcement kept saying they couldn't see it.

Either this car re-appeared after you sent someone an hour ago, they somehow couldn't find it or they don't consider it a violation. If it's the latter, please mention that in the follow up.

Car parked well out in the street (on a blind turn, probably illegally close to the corner, etc). I had hoped this was dealt with, as they seemed to be avoiding being in the improved street a day or two ago, but this morning at 6am it was as bad as ever.
