Vacant house drawing homeless and children.
Vacant house drawing homeless and children.
Lawn hasn't been mowed fallen limbs especially bad in backyard
The people residing in this home were previously told by HAND to get rid of the garbage that was accumulating in their back yard, which is loose and blows onto other properties. Instead, they have simply moved it 10 feet to the right by a shed. Also, there are currently 5 cars parked on the property. From day to day, there are a lot of unknown people and traffic some of whom briefly come and go. I have seen people staggering in the backyard who are likely under the influence of some substance.
Another dead rat. I am a 63 year resident at this address and only in the last five years have rats began appearing. Open composting by some neighbors has been a long time habit Ross Gay 316 S. Buckner is one loving the overgrowth same person owns the property behind me also with chickens it’s a rental overgrowth problem there I am a yearly complainer on that Davisson street address. I’m going to guess my outdoor cat fixed chipped and so forth brought this in the cat house. I’ve been finding two and three every year dead near my house where you see one rat I’m sure there is a whole colony somewhere. Would appreciate it if the city could check out this area of prospect Hill I’ve heard from other neighbors about the dead rat problem, and a few have saw the live ones. People also stack their firewood on the ground, giving them a nice little place to borrow under and build their colonies. I would appreciate hearing from someone soon about this. I consider this a health hazard.
I live next door to this house at 328 S. Fairview Street, which is a rental. My neighbor's tree again has broken branches resting on my cable/internet line and will possibly take out the line during this or future storms - this has happened in the past. These trees need to be maintained as they are also close to power lines that go into my house. The trees are inside neighbor's fence in the alley between my house and 328 S Fairview. Thank you.
Call received to HAND from adjacent property owner. There is also a uReport under address 812 W 3rd that is duplicative. People are living year-round in an RV parked on an unimproved surface at 220 S. Maple Street. They have been there for about 18 months. I previously reported them to H.AN.D. and the city's legal department. There are also 3-5 other cars parked in the small property lot at all times. The man is apparently fixing cars for others. Various articles and garbage bags are often strewn about. Their has been many domestic violence and nuisance reports to the police and fire department during this time.
I hope someone from the appropriate city department can help me with a tree issue on my neighbor's property that is endangering my home. Perhaps someone could contact them and request that they need to remove the tree or trim it. It is an investment property for them, which they do not live in, so they have not been keen on addressing it. I recently purchased this house at 1017 W Howe St. During the recent storms, one of the large silver maple trees at my other neighbor's property fell into my roof, destroying the back half of my home and causing extensive mold and flood damage. I am trying to address the issue with the trees now so this does not happen again to any of us. I only received half my claim amount from my insurance due to nonrecoverable depreciation and the deductible, which is only enough to replace the roof, though there has been extensive interior damage and flooding as well. Upon looking into the surrounding trees and contacting some folks about it, I have learned that my neighbors to the left of my house have been aware that their tree that is growing over my roof has extensive heart rot and is hazardous. The people who owned the home before them were landlords and were aware of the issue as well, but chose to sell the home when the tree destroyed their roof some years back, rather than cutting it down as needed, and it still hasn't been addressed. The people I purchased my home from said they had an arborist come do an examination and recommended that the tree needs to be removed, or at least trimmed back so it is not endangering my home should it fall, and it is likely to. I have also had multiple tree companies come do estimates for me regarding other tree work, given the damage that has occurred, as well as roofing contractors and chimney contractors. All of them say the tree is dangerous and needs to come down. I have included an image from the back of my home, and the tree in question here is the one on the right of the image.
