708 West 8th St. (corner of 8th & Fairview St.) is rarely mowed, is overgrown with invasives- in the front and sidewalk- trees like Chinese elm, poison ivy, Asian bush honeysuckle are growing out of a limestone wall falling onto the sidewalk part on Fairview. Come August kids will walk to school and the whole legnth of that sidewalk including the house on 9th and Fairview has plants coming onto the sidewalk.

Trash cans have been at curb for over a week.
A resident on the south side of Pine Meadows Drive asked me if there was anything that could be done about the brightness of the lights at the intersection of Rockport and Country Club. He said the light was really bright in his backyard, and that it was frustrating. I couldn't think of who to reach out to, but I was wondering if there was any way something could be added to shield the extra light that is apparently beaming into his backyard? I know lighting the intersection is important, but hopefully there is a way to light the intersection without lighting up his backyard. Thanks!
These people continue to have the trashiest front yard in the neighborhood. Time for yet another warning to clean it up, please. Thanks.

I live down the street from a construction site which is consistently incredibly noisy very early in the morning. I have reported this construction site for noise violations before, and the problem was, for a time, resolved. However, the problem has started again as they are once again beginning work early in the morning (around 5 a.m.) which, I am aware, is well before the time they are supposed to start even staging for their operations. I am an IU grad student and I need to be able to rest. I am aware that my neighborhood is in a rather defunct part of town, but people still live here and need to be able to function as normal. House looks abandoned. Little black cat seen in front yard. Backyard gate is open - appears to have pet carriers strewn about back there. Maybe someone at the animal shelter could drop by and look around (?)
