In the large dog park at Switchyard Park, a plank has fallen off the bench box under the shade structure, leaving a gap large enough for a dog to get inside the bench box. My dog got inside and luckily came out, but if there had been a firework or thunder, it would have been impossible to get her out. Please reattach! Thank you!

The wooden seat in the middle of the large dog park is dangerous due to slats that are not anchored down. Yesterday a dog jumped on one of smaller slats which came off and his paw and leg went into the opening. I have seen other instances where slats come off when jumped on by dogs or sat on by owners. This has been reported in the past. I fear it could become a liability issue.

There needs to be a discussion with the Indiana Bobcats about the appropriate use of city parks. They continually park their cars on the grass around the concessions area. To get there, they drive down the path that runs north/south along the field. This is the path that is used by families and kids for walking/biking and is adjacent to the playground. They also drive on the path from the south end of the Olcott parking lot heading towards to the concessions building. Again this path is used by families and kids. They need to be told that these paths are NOT roads. There is ample parking at Olcott and the middle school. There is no reason for them to be driving on the paths and tearing up the grass around the concessions area.
