The Lower Cascades Playground - The Yellow wooden Floors in the Lower Playground are deteriorating pretty badly. They are probably okay for the season, but there are starting to be significant signs of needing repairs and replaced. The Upper Cascades Playground main slide is not structurally sound to carry the weight of a three year old. The sections are splitting from each other.
My son found this needle last week in the parking lot of the Butler Park Gardens. We went back to the visit our garden today and it was still there so I picked it up and put it in the needle box at the park restrooms. This is the second time in a month or so that our children have come dangerously close to used needles. Baseball field is basically unrecognizable as a baseball field because of the weeds.

Trash in people's park please remove them
In the past we have put in a complaint about the trees at mills pool. They need cut back. They hang way to low. Someone is going to put an eye out. Oh wait my son almost did. On July 15th my 12 year old son was walking on the sidewalk at the circle to go swimming. He turned his head and jammed a hanging tree branch into his left eye. His poor eye was red and draining and it hurt. We went to the dr the next day. He got some eye drops and they sent us to the eye dr. Had to wait till that wed. Unfortunately he can not swim for atleast a week. We have to get the open wound on his eye ball to heal up. I hope you take immediate action on this and keep on top of it from now on. This never should have happened. Those trees should never hang that low especially since we have put in a complaint on them before. Here is pictures of his poor little eye and the trees. Just curious if any State/County/City agency or legislative body bans smoking outdoors in public parks by statute/ordinance/regulation. Specifically, there is a cigar-smoker (loud, older, possibly un-housed) who often sits on a bench near the NW corner of People's Park about 11am and smokes a cigar that can be smelled by anyone who walks through the park and even across the street at the bagel shop. Just wondering if he could be asked to smoke where other people are not forced to smell it.

The lights in Peoples Park along the eastern edge of the park and on the 507 E. Kirkwood Avenue building are not operating, creating a haven at night for an overnight encampment of people, various belongings, litter, etc. The lights shine into the Park to create more visibility/safety for pedestrians/visitors.
Citizen says the Miller Showers area furthest north that was torn up last year looks "horrible". Its all brown with twigs sticking up and is a mess. If this is what the wildflower planting did, she'd rather see weeds & grass that are mowed. Says everyone coming into town from the north sees this and it gives a really bad impression.
