I live across the street from this four way stop. At the STOP sign I have in the past (I admitted a UReport) and also and today seen a couple of cars that have not stopped at the sign. This is very concerning and the pin oak tree needs to be trimmed back. Thanks for reading.
Requesting use of speed bumps or some sort of traffic mitigation device. As the new neighborhood is being built west of our location it has led to increased traffic and significant danger. Cherokee Drive is barely wide enough for two cars to pass in some areas and with increased traffic it is unsafe for children and pets. In addition, driver's have sped through when people are outside and yelled threats to people in the neighborhood. Cherokee Drive is the first access point to this neighborhood from the north on Rogers and therefore receiving the bulk of traffic especially during traditional evening commute hours.
Experiencing visibility issues as a pedestrian at the W 6th St and B-Line Trail intersection. Cars parked in the diagonal spots in front of Le Petit Cafe block pedestrian visibility down the road to the west. Because of this, I can't fully see down the road for cars until I'm already in the road. It's particularly an issue when larger vehicles like vans and trucks are parked there. Cars do not always approach this crosswalk at a slow enough speed to slow down for the pedestrians who couldn't see them
Safety issue occurs M-Fri. Illegal parking on both sides of Wylie Farm Road off Henderson. This happens everyday with many cars on both sides when the high school is letting out. Emergency vehicles could not get through, cars cannot get through, kids in streets. No parking signs are faded. Maybe City needs to have police patrol to ticket to get this stopped.
A drainage or other pipe was installed a few weeks ago in Hillside Drive immediately west (in the eastbound lane) of the pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Hillside and South Olive Street. Every time a vehicle runs over this "pipe opening" it makes a loud noise that can be heard in the immediate neighborhood. It is very annoying and distrurbing to the residents near this intersection, especially at night when drivers can't see this opening. Can something please be done to make this quieter please. Thank you in advance for looking into this issue.
Project school pickup traffic is out of control. Vehicles picking up students are supposed to proceed eastbound on 2nd street, then north on Lincoln. Not only do people end up lining up far too early, causing a logjam, but many vehicles are approaching from the east, causing the eastbound traffic to take even longer to be able to turn onto Lincoln. Consequently, nearly every day there is a near-miss with other vehicles (who are just trying to go east/west along 2nd street) end up going around waiting TPS parents. This is an extremely dangerous and untenable situation. Check out that intersection between 3:35 and 3:45 on any given schoolday.
There are frequently cars blowing through this intersection at 15-20mph. It’s true for most intersections in this area but this one seems particularly bad as well as dangerous given the high pedestrian traffic near the park. It would be great to see some targeted patrols here to send a message that you’re meant to stop at a stop sign.
