The curb at the southwest corner of this intersection juts out quite far into the lane. It is red and lower than the rest of the sidewalk. When there are cars waiting at the light, a sharp turn is necessary to avoid hitting them or this pointy curb, and it feels unsettling to swing out so far to the left where traffic is oncoming. On the southwest side of this intersection, the curb juts out into the lane. It's red and lower than sidewalk level. Turning right onto Patterson requires a driver to swing out to the left, close to oncoming traffic, as otherwise it's very hard to stay clear of the cars waiting on Patterson and this curb. Could the curb be changed, or the stop line for Patterson be moved several feet back?
Observed today at 1030 hrs. Eastbound vehicle making a U turn after the Overhill traffic island to turn onto Overhill. Traffic was not heavy but this could have impacted 3 lanes of traffic. FYI.
Continuous near misses @ Gourley Pike and N Monroe st. Vehicles not stopping at this intersection I have had several near collisions coming off of 46 as well as coming down N Monroe after stopping. Drivers just will not stop In either direction!!!
Football traffic is using N Old SR 37 via Sample Rd and/or Liberty Church causing backups and heavy traffic on Old SR 37, Business 37, and the 37 and 46 Bypass intersection.
I am very concerned about the speed of traffic on Vermilya avenue. The apartment complex down the street has several speed bumps which ensures traffic remains at a safe speed. I want to request a couple speed bumps to be installed on Vermilya Ave. Several drivers fly down this road at a very unsafe rate of speed. This is a quiet neighborhood with several pedestrians (including children and pets) walking the street/sidewalks at all hours of the day. Please help me make this happen. Thank you so much for your time!
The stoplight is not working as it should. It won't turn green for certain directions (northbound on Walnut Pike in this instance), or turns green for a very short period, letting two or three cars through. Cars were quickly jutting into the turning lane as an alternate to sitting through a third or fourth light on the way to work in the morning today.
The City should check out the traffic issues happening on S. Woodlawn Ave from Maxwell to 1st. People are now parking on both sides of the street, often directly across from other cars, reducing this area to a single lane for two way traffic. This particular stretch of Woodlawn is relatively busy. People are parking so close to 1st on both sides of Woodlawn that sometimes you cannot even turn to go south on Woodlawn from 1st without needing to wait for a car at the stop sign on Woodlawn headed north to clear out (and hope the cars coming up behind it realize they need to stay back and let people through). I know legally right now the road allows parking on both sides. This could be evaluated and consider removing parking from one side of the street as people are not very smart about where they park and it is creating a hazardous reduction in traffic flow that is difficult for vehicles and bicycles to navigate.
Requesting speed bumps due to traffic speed From Hillside to Miller.
Hello! On 12/9/24, I was involved in a car accident. I was driving west on 7th St., which had no stop signs along the stretch I was driving. A driver going north on Grant assumed it would be a 4 way stop, and after stopping, drove forward into my car and t-boned my driver’s side door. Both cars were totaled. My back is still sore. I am not sure if signage exists that cross traffic does not stop, or if a new traffic plan is in consideration, but I wanted to let someone know there was an incorrect 4 way stop assumption made at this intersection that resulted in an accident. Thank you for listening, for your time, and for all you do! Sincerely, Emily
