Resident complaint of accessibility and clearly marked closures in the 6th/7th Street repaving project. Quick observation looks like they have traffic control devices encroaching the crosswalk along Rogers and no closures posted at alleys causing confusion.
There is an Airb&B on the NE corner of Henderson and Maxwell. I live down Maxwell and have a difficult time turning given all the vehicles there. People staying there always park very near the corner on the yellow making it hard to turn for others. Some have gotten tickets but I suspect they are from out of town and will never pay. The curb needs to be repainted yellow since it has faded and people probably don't see it. Maybe a prominent sigh needs erected or something. Thanks
At the intersection of West 3rd Street & South Walnut Street: The pedestrian "Walk" illumination for pedestrians walking NB from the SW corner to the NW corner is not working as of 1:15 p.m. today. I apologize for not having a photo. Thanks!
I live across the street from this four way stop. At the STOP sign I have in the past (I admitted a UReport) and also and today seen a couple of cars that have not stopped at the sign. This is very concerning and the pin oak tree needs to be trimmed back. Thanks for reading.
A drainage or other pipe was installed a few weeks ago in Hillside Drive immediately west (in the eastbound lane) of the pedestrian crosswalk at the intersection of Hillside and South Olive Street. Every time a vehicle runs over this "pipe opening" it makes a loud noise that can be heard in the immediate neighborhood. It is very annoying and distrurbing to the residents near this intersection, especially at night when drivers can't see this opening. Can something please be done to make this quieter please. I live on South Washington near Hillside, and I keep seeing people driving North (the wrong way). It has happened about 6 times just in the last week, and that's only with limited observation time. Either people are just turning the wrong way on purpose or they aren't seeing the "One-Way" sign. It's barely visible (very dirty and hard to see) on the East side of the street at the corner of S Washington and Hillside. Once people turn onto the street, there are no other signs to indicate they are going the wrong way. I'm concerned that there will be accidents if signage isn't improved.
