One square of sidewalk in front of the house was replaced last week. A pile of excess cement mixture was left on the lawn next to the replaced paving and has now dried. It is going to be a pain when mowing, and also looks terrible. Please send someone to remove and dispose of the excess/abandoned cement from the yard.
Business Owner, Mike Klinge, reported that there is human waste in the alleyway beside Alley Bar, more specifically near the dumpster that Inkwell Bakery uses.
The unhoused encampment behind the IMI concrete plant on private property has continued to get out of control. This has been cleared out already and has now grown to the largest size to date. We have seen 50+ people on a daily basis back and forth. More and more of the unhoused have been cutting through private property on Cherokee Drive, leaving trash in yards, starting fights in the area, and continuing to scope out an abandoned house at the end of Cherokee to which the cops have been called out to at least twice. There is a brand new subdivision being built at the end of Cherokee and the area is finally being built up along with the addition of Switchyard Park. Bloomington has numerous services for the unhoused but camping on private property and causing issues to nearby neighborhoods should not be tolerated. The fear in the area is that this is becoming more and more unsafe as this encampment continues to grow in size. Please address this increasingly dangerous situation as soon as possible.
We know it is time for the outdoor market cause the market bucks table ain’t open on time. Had to wait over 20 minutes. The winter market never makes us wait. This happened over 5 times last year. They never there on time.
The trash pickup truck just went by my street, picking up trash notmally. But the truck was playing loud music filled with obscenities and violent language. The response provided for Case# 201024 (https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=201024) was insufficient and dismissive ("Cases are left open until they comply. A large number of tickets were issued, however, tickets are tracked in a separate system from Ureport."). It is not true that all the "Sidewalk Snow Removal" complaints were followed up with tickets. Rather, they were *all* updated soon after 8am on Wed 26 Feb with various comments such as, "Snow has melted", "No longer valid", etc. There is no reason to lie - better to just ignore requests from residents and go back to whatever it is you do all day long. Eventually, we will get the message that submissions to UReport are a waste of time and we will stop bothering your office with such things.
