Phone Call: Mr. Flanders called to seek action from the Police Department regarding his alleged assault and battery he received from a woman. He believes several different people are telling lies about him and trying to get him in trouble. He apparently was also told the matter had been turned over to the Prosecutor. I spoke with Elaine Helms on 8/20, she informed me this info would be given to the Police officer in charge of that case.

Elaine Helms left a note for Officer Brian James who explained that the people involved all tell slightly different stories and given that BPD deals with all of them on a fairly regular basis, they don't know who to believe. Therefore, the case was forwarded to the Prosectuor's office for a deputy prosecutor to make the decision. BPD is out of it until and unless they need to make an arrest on a warrant. Officer James can be reached at 3343 (pin # 1325), and he works from :30pm - 10:00pm.
