Other: It's a day that ends in Y, so the homeless and drug dealers are camped out in the park as usual. There is actually a city vehicle there today while I was picking up trash from the drinking and smoking, but they seemed intent on staying as far away as possible. We've tried complaining to the mayor. We've called the police. DO SOMETHING BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT. and please just lock up the restrooms permanently at this point, they are just filled with passed out junkies who lock the doors all day anyway - destroying property. At this point just pave over the park if you're going to let it turn into a blight!

I appreciate the report, as these are helpful for guiding actions. We were just discussing a previous report on Building Trades with the Office of the Mayor and BPD yesterday. While some issues have been there for a while, there has been a recent uptick in incident reports. BPD has pledged more patrols and response to the park and we were on-site with them yesterday responding to the issue. There is a possibility that the restrooms will close for some time.
