Other: Wasn't sure how to categorize this issue of cigarette litter. north sidewalk on Kirkwood, outside of Crazy Horse and Alley Bar. Patrons of these two businesses frequently litter their cigarettes onto the sidewalk, into the planter, into the drain, into the metal cage surrounding the pipes--without extinguishing them. It's pretty gross and also a fire hazard. And I'm guessing when the cigarettes go into that drain, they end up in Clear Creek, which isn't great for the environment (not that there aren't other issues affecting Clear Creek's cleanliness, but still).
I've noticed it for years, but I guess I only cared enough to write a UReport now. Because earlier this week I was walking my dog on that sidewalk, and someone flicked their cigarette onto the ground near me, and my dog must have thought it was a treat or a scrap of food because she tried to gobble it up. And I think it burnt her tongue a little because she was whining for the rest of the day.
Maybe we could get Crazy Horse and Alley Bar to set up cigarette receptacles so their patrons have a designated place to safely dispose of cigarettes?
