Responded to requester and explained that the concern at Dodds/Morton will be logged and considered as part of the City’s broader review of B-Line corridor crossing and stop control improvements, but no specific four-way stop change is being promised at this time.

Hello Tim,
Thank you for sharing this concern. I understand why this location stands out, especially with the B-Line crossing and the pedestrian activity near Hopscotch Coffee.
We are currently looking at the B-Line corridor more broadly to evaluate how we want to manage crossings and stop control along the corridor, including whether changes should apply to vehicle traffic, trail users, or both. We’ll include your comments about Dodds and Morton as part of that review.
At this point, I do not want to promise a specific change, such as converting this intersection to a four-way stop, before we look at the corridor as a whole. Stop signs are primarily used to assign right-of-way, not just to slow traffic, so we need to consider traffic volumes, pedestrian and bicycle activity, crash history, visibility, consistency along the corridor, and whether a change here could create issues at nearby crossings. Your concern is being logged for future consideration as we review B-Line crossing improvements.
Best,
John Garzee
