I understand your concern, especially with drivers using the center turn lane on Bloomfield Rd like a passing lane and the speeding concerns on Allen St near locations with limited visibility. We will evaluate both stretches of road you pointed out. Bloomfield Rd is a higher-priority safety corridor for us, so we will take a closer look at what may be appropriate there, including whether there are ways to address how the center turn lane is being used. For Allen St, stop signs are generally not used as a speed control tool, since they are intended to assign right-of-way and often do not solve speeding issues when there is not enough cross traffic. Traffic calming would likely be the better long-term tool for that concern. Traffic calming applications are closed for this year, but you can apply during the next application cycle.
