Please note that our enforcement process takes some time as we cannot just issue tickets for violations. It involves investigating the complaint and issuing a letter to the property owner/representative. Compliance timelines for violations are two weeks from the date the letter is issued. If we do not receive a response and the violation is not corrected, we reinvestigate after that 2 week deadline and escalate enforcement to a regular Notice of Violation letter with fine deadlines for violations. If the violation still persists, a Notice of Violation and Fines letter is issued. We have a team of two enforcement people for the entire City and respond to complaints in order of severity and date received. I understand this is a very frustrating issue for you. We will do our best to address this issue as soon as possible. Please note that we do not typically enter private property without permission and investigate complaints from the adjacent road/alleyways. If the light is not visible from the street, it can make it more difficult for us to address these types of issues.
