Thank you for reaching out. We understand your concern regarding the recent odor from the Dillman Wastewater Treatment Plant. The issue was the result of process issues that occurred during a routine decant cycle. During this process, several blowers that help maintain proper treatment conditions were not operating as intended due to equipment issues. We’re working to get the blowers repaired but are awaiting assistance and parts from the manufacturers. In the meantime, plant staff have developed an alternative operating procedure for the next decant cycle that should help reduce the odors, even if the blower repairs have not yet been completed. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue. If you have any follow-up questions please reach out to me directly at [email protected].
