Street & Traffic Signs:

Other: Turning left from N State Rd 37 Business (east or west) is highly dangerous. Cars zip around in the right turn lane and bike lane. I've almost been re-ended several times and have seen more than a few accidents at this light. The stoplight is too sensitive and stops north/southbound traffic too easily and frequently.

Hello Valerie, Thank you for sharing this concern. I understand why it would feel unsafe if drivers are passing on the right while vehicles are waiting to turn left. For context, the traffic signal and N Old State Road 37 are under INDOT jurisdiction, while N Walnut Street is maintained by the City. Since N Walnut Street was recently repaved, we are unlikely to make near-term physical changes at this location, but we will log the concern for future consideration. For concerns about the signal timing or operations on N Old State Road 37, I would encourage you to submit those directly to INDOT through their reporting portal: https://indot4u.511in.org/report Thank you again for taking the time to report this. John
