Water Utility Problems:

Other: I live north of town in Fairwood Terrace. Multiple people in the neighborhood, including myself, have reported problems with their water service. Water pressure is low. Not so low you can't take a shower but low enough that toilets don't flush and it takes awhile to fill a sink, let alone a bath tub. The water flowing out of the faucet stops every second or so then starts flowing again. Water pressure is significantly lower in mornings when people are up and getting about their day and again drops in the evening when people get home and perhaps start cooking meals, taking showers, etc. It is a little too soon to blame the problem on people watering grass and gardens. I called the Utilities department about the problem last week and was told I had a leak in my supply line and should call a plumber. I would be glad to do that and will anyway as the line to my house is some 60+ years old. But considering so many other people are having this problem it would be most appreciated if you could send someone out to investigate what's going on as there are too many with this issue for it to be supply ines to people's houses. We have many families int he neighborhood that really can't afford the $300+ bill to for a plumber to check their lines. I will even volunteer to pay a reasonable amount for the City to come out and check that the water supply is functioning properly. We could really use some help on this one. Dan Beeker
