Other: I love this new informational sign. It’s so fun to read about Bloomington’s history! The sign is just so tall and at such a shallow angle that it’s hard for people shorter than 5’6” to read. I realize this is low priority but if there’s any way to adjust the height or angle, a lot more people could read the sign, especially kids.

Rebecca, per our discussion regarding ADA requirements for sign heights and the readability of the new Graham Motor Sales sign. A fix to make the sign lower would be to cut off the bottom foot plate, remove a few inches of post, and weld the foot plate back on to re-attach to the concrete. We can find an in-house or in-City welder, or seek out a welder from contractors with whom we have service agreements.

Thank you for your report! The sign indeed looks to be a little on the tall side. We're reviewing the ADA sign height requirements and will work on making adjustments to the sign height accordingly. Sincerely, Julie Ramey, Community Relations Manager Bloomington Parks and Recreation

Thanks for the feedback. Most of our signs have posts that come at a prescribed height for accessibility, but we will double check this one.
