Sidewalk Snow Removal:

Other: The public sidewalk in front of this house was never shoveled. Pedestrians are forced to either risk slipping and falling on packed snow and ice, or walk in Kinser Pike and risk being killed by a car. This photo was taken at 3:50 PM on February 8, 2026 – 14 days after the end of the last snowstorm.

In accordance with Bloomington Municipal Code 6.07.010 (a), a property owner gets 24 hours after the snow or ice has ceased to fall or in any way accumulate to remove it before we can issue a violation. In the event of a violation, the neighborhood compliance officer will issue a Notice of Violation (NOV) to the property owners via first class mail and by placing a copy of the notice of violation on the property.
