Nuisance Lights:
Other: There is an incredibly bright flood light at the back entrance of the house (on N Jackson St) the stays on all night. It comes through the window shades and curtains of my bedroom window and all three of my neighbors homes as well. I’m not sure what the regulation is for nuisance lights on private property but it’d be great to have this light to be warmer in color or at least be motion sensored so we can get some rest in between. The homeowner is not open to hearing feedback from the neighbors so sadly, we have to report this way.

Thank you for contacting the City of Bloomington. The Bloomington Municipal Code has an ordinance regarding light trespass from adjacent properties. I will re-assign this uReport to our Planning & Transportation Department who deals with this ordinance. If you would like to speak to a staff member regarding this issue, please call 812-349-3423.
