City of Bloomington, Indiana

closed: Resolved #203763

Line of Sight:

Other: There are some weeds growing up here that make it particularly difficult for drivers that are eastbound on E Smith Ave to check for northbound traffic on S Lincoln St before turning left onto Lincoln St. In the summer, this is a particularly busy area during pick-up and drop-off for the Lincoln Street Boys & Girls Club summer camps. It would also be ideal to take a look at the curb markings here to see if street parking can be adjusted to improve visibility at this intersection. Thank you!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Staff investigated the intersection and sent a Notice of Violation to the adjacent property owner for trimming the vegetation. Once the vegetation has been cleared, staff will revisit the site to evaluate whether street parking is impacting visibility. If visibility remains a concern, we will discuss potential adjustments to the parking in the area.
