Nuisance Lights:

Other: Lighting for Cedar Creek Assisted Living sign is BLINDING at night. I have almost hit a bicyclist, a dog, and a deer turning onto Adams from Tapp Road at the roundabout because the sign lighting sits below the level of the sign. If it was raised up on both sides by 4-6 inches it would hit the sign- which is what it should do, not blind drivers or walkers entering the neighborhood.

Planning staff observed and documented non-compliant sign lighting that was angled too low and as such was aimed towards Adams Street. Planning staff spoke with front desk staff at Cedar Creek Assisted Living facility. They contacted their property manager to have the lights adjusted--hopefully today or tomorrow. They will follow-up once this has been completed and Planning staff will check back in on the site to ensure compliance.
