The area you are referring to is a low-mow zone. It has been out of the regular mowing cycle for several years. Low-mow zones exist on most Parks' properties in order to reduce mowing and all of the associated costs, as well as, to provide habitat for native insects and wildlife. These areas are mown on a rotating basis during the dormant season to control woody invasive plants.

Rebecca - we've had issues with mowers missing/maintaining the shoulders on this path previously.
