Good morning,
Yes, these traffic counts are set to gauge speeds and volumes on the road after the traffic calming was implemented. Prior to the installation, traffic counts were set in the same locations to get "before" data, which can then be used to compare after implementation- we try to do this with all traffic calming projects when possible. Our goal is to set them 'in between' the speed cushions to attempt to get a free flow speed, however we're slightly limited in locations that they can be set.
Counts will be pulled up tomorrow (Friday) and an additional count on Morningside and Sheffield will be set early next week.
