Street & Traffic Signs:

Other: Many drivers passing East or West on Dodds do not realize that Lincoln Street (one-way, Northbound) traffic does not have a stop sign. I live on this corner, and work from home in sight of this intersection, and I see many many close calls, as well as accidents as traffic coming full speed North on Lincoln are suddenly confronted with drivers on Dodds who have stopped, and then started into the intersection, assuming they have the right of way. Could we possibly get "cross traffic does not stop" added to the Dodds stop signs? I doubt that the accident reports fully reflect the dangers.

A work order has been sent to the Street department for 90' of yellow curb on the west side of S Lincoln to improve the view of the Eastbound traffic on Dodds. Thanks!

Kevin, Thank you for the suggestion. I want to let you know that our department is evaluating the area. After discussion we are not pursuing “cross traffic does not stop” signs for the area at this time, but the sight distance improvements we are working on will be a better solution, especially crash reports indicating that some crashes (within a five years period) at this intersection are related to the line of sight issue. Note:(This uReport will not be closed until we mitigate the line of sight).
