Potholes, Other Street Repair:

Other: There are multiple potholes on Amp Way, near Target and Current at Latimer Square. The largest is past the entrance that Target shares with Chik-fil-a. Further down the road there are two, one pretty deep, right at the corner crosswalk. This concerns me due to the blind corner and crosswalk. Some drivers come around that corner in the middle of the road, and it makes it difficult to avoid hitting the pothole. This road is, at times very busy and congested, with bus, car, scooter, bicycle, and foot traffic. The curbside parking for the apartments has cars facing two different directions, which gets chaotic. The turn lane in front of Target is very tight if you're turning right, with poor visibility due to the hedges, and oncoming traffic often speeding. it wouldn't be a bad place for a few speed bumps, especially with the IU Students returning soon.

Melissa, I would recommend applying to the 2025 Resident-Led Traffic Calming program. As this area is quickly becoming a much more residential area, this street may fall into this program. Do not hesitate to reach out with questions - I am happy to help. TCGP: https://bloomington.in.gov/tcgp Best, Hank Duncan

Good morning, I'm, in-turn, passing this over to Hank Duncan with the Planning Dept. He looks into potential traffic calming. He and I can work together to gather some traffic data for Kingston and vicinity

Melissa, The city maintains S Kingston Way from SR 46 to the corner by Target. I have added this to our patch list. I am reassigning this to our Engineering department regarding the speed bump.
