Duke Energy has inspected the existing lights and determined that they are safe. The City will be entering into an agreement with Duke Energy to replace the existing lights with a new LED lighting system.
I have emailed the citizen twice and provided my contact information for any questions.

Mr. Watkins,
Duke Energy is in the process of creating an outdoor lighting service agreement to replace the existing four shoe box fixtures and poles. Upon receipt, the agreement will go before the Board of Public Works to approve. Upon approval, the lights will be scheduled to install.
Best,
Christina
