Other: I'm not trying to appeal a ticket, but I do have a question. I received a parking ticket today because I did not properly use the meter which I should have. That was my fault, I admit. However, I took a quick look at the meter, and for some reason, it said "expires at 1:30 pm" or something like that. Do previous cars' allotted times continue even when the next person parks, and does the next person parking need to somehow stop the time and then start another session, or something like that? Just curious. Secondly, as I wrote in a comment that I realize was directed to the "other" and "public works" section of this site rather than parking, I would like to apologize again for a nasty, profane complaint letter that I included in the envelope I used to pay my parking ticket. I wrote the letter essentially in the heat of the moment, and did not mean anything I wrote at all. You may not have received the envelope yet, but it was poorly written, so please disregard it. I have a much higher view of the city than what the letter indicates and take full responsibility for today's parking situation.
